Multiplay, one of Europe’s leading Online Games Providers, have announced the launch of their new online matchmaking utility, www.pickups.gg. The site is now in open beta phase and Multiplay are inviting anyone to use it to create organised games for all popular multiplayer titles.

“At its heart pickups.gg is a matchmaking tool” said Craig Fletcher, Managing Director of Multiplay “It’s a utility that we’re providing for the community to find other people wanting to play the same game and bring them together. It’s also providing a platform for the community to become more interlinked and perhaps even try games they wouldn’t normally play!”

“We’re providing pickups.gg as a free tool for the community because we’re all about multiplayer gaming and if we can use our resources to promote online games then it’s a service we’re happy to provide.”

Pickups.gg is a free service, allowing anyone to add themselves to one of the games currently being formed. When the slots are filled, the players are given a private server and a voice comms channel to join. Whilst their game is building, gamers may chat in the lobby until the right amount of people have been found for the match to begin.

“Essentially we’re giving people the power to create public servers filled with quality, committed players. Everyone is on voice comms and everyone is there to play – the standard of games is excellent and is much better than hopping around random public servers, hoping to find people to play with.”

Anyone can join in with the Multiplay Pickups beta by heading over to www.pickups.gg and registering for free.
