Last week we reported a ban on the Xbox 360 game, Mass Effect in Singapore. The country's Media Development Authority announced the ban in reaction to an apparent lesbian love scene, which was complicated by the fact that one of the characters was an alien from a race that shared a single sex.

The Straits Times has announced that the ban has been withdrawn and the game will sell in Singapore with an M18 rating.

Singapore's Board of Film Censors said they would be creating their own, unique, classification system for video games in January. No word yet if there will be an 'M for Homosexual Activities' rating.

Mass Effect ships in four days for a November 20 release and is rated M for Mature in North America by the Electronic Software Rating Board.
