2K Sports today announced that New York Mets baseball star Jose Reyes will be featured on the cover of Major League Baseball 2K8, and also be the chief spokesperson for the upcoming sports game.

Reyes entered the league four years ago and last year led the Major League in stolen bases and triples. This year he led in stolen bases once again with 78.

2K Sports also took the opportunity to confirm the platforms for the game, which will include the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.

The previous spokesperson for the series was Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees, who first achieved the title in 2005.
