Midway action-adventure announced

Surreal Software, the studio behind Stranglehold, announced today a new title in development for Midway.

This is Vegas, a sandbox action/adventure set for a Holiday 2008 release, will let gamers live out their wildest dreams in the Nevada kingdom of gambling.

Surreal promises a strong story incorporating fighting, driving and gambling gameplay in the game, which will be released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Las Vegas has been the home base for a number of real-life game conferences recently, including this year's DICE Summit and the Annual Interactive Achievement Awards.
