KOEI confirmed the existence of its Wii-exclusive RPG today by giving Opoona a North American release date of March 25, 2008.

KOEI says their developer for the project, ArtePiazza, has done a "masterful" job at blending strategy and action, while incorporating the Wii's unique motion-sensing control options. KOEI also suggested that Opoona will hold appeal for casual or new gamers, a market rarely tapped into by the RPG genre.

About a boy who has crash landed on a mysterious planet, Opoona will also feature unique Nunchuck-enabled battle system and single-handed gameplay.

It's already been rated E10+ by the ESRB.
