It is a “dog eat dog” world in the business industry and apparently the cliché seems to be true since GameDaily BIZ has information regarding THQ getting ready to close the deal on Elephant Entertainment.

The report goes on to say that THQ would neither confirm nor deny the news, since it is company policy to not comment on rumors. For many who do not know who Elephant Entertainment is, it was founded by former Atari executive Wim Stocks. The company has partnered with Oberon Games, K2 Network and Planetwide Games, and has worked on casual titles like Cake Mania 2, first-person shooters like War Rock, and MMOs such as Sword of the New World.

With Elephant Entertainment familiar with casual games it would make sense for THQ Valusoft to acquire the company, since they too focus on low-budget casual games. With no real confirmation from any side, we should consider this a rumor until they officially announce the deal.
