Expansion pack scheduled for second half of the year

As per expectations, Blizzard Entertainment will release a new World of Warcraft PC expansion pack called Wrath of the Lich King this year.

The publisher and developer of the wildly popular RPG franchise, as well as its parent company, Vivendi, has confirmed that Wrath of the Lich King is scheduled for the second half of 2008.

Vivendi says the WOW series already boasts an online subscriber base of almost 11 million, and the new expansion pack will push that number even higher.
